LORDS AND COMMONERS
NOMENCLATURES OF PAST
Changes required in modern times
In Lahore Fort, we have two reception halls of the Mughals. One is Diwan-khass and the other is Diwan-am. Special and common, and they are no longer justified in modern times. The Americans perfected their names into Senators and Congressmen (Congresswomen). But the British legacy is still existing even in a Constitutional Monarchy.
It is highly repulsive for the use of the word commoner with people who matter. The public matters and to reject them, as being the public is disdain of the Royalty, which is no longer applicable in modern times. All Judea-Christian-Muslim traditions speak of equality of Man in the eyes of God. To divide them on basis of other than QUALIFICATION IS BIGOTRY. And not up to the standards of these days.
